Two Refugees and a Dream is a timely story written for young children ages 6+ and their families.
It retells real-life experiences of two people who each embark on a challenging journey in hopes of a better life. One escapes with a friend and the other with her entire family.
Through it all, what keeps them moving forward is for family and a dream.
About the Author
Leslie is the daughter of refugee-immigrants from Vũng Tàu and Đà Nẵng, Việt Nam. She was born and raised in Southern California and holds a Bachelor’s from University of California, Los Angeles.
Leslie currently lives in Los Angeles with her partner and their dog, Nellie. She finds joy in spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, watching light-hearted shows and movies, and lounging after a long day of work. Leslie aspires to continue writing stories inspired by family and her personal experiences.
